Vision Statement:
To establish and maintain a balanced
synchronized soccer program. To develop players and teams in order to contend consistently and competitively each and every year at the district and state level and beyond.
Mission Statement:
By implementing a sound and age-appropriate soccer curriculum, players will have the opportunity to develop and hone the skill-sets required at the high school level. Application of the technical and tactical aspects of soccer during training on the practice field will transfer into successful players and team on the game field.
Coaching Philosophy:
I first started playing soccer because my brother played the game. During my twenty plus years, I have played the beautiful game for various other reasons including camaraderie, enjoyment, and passion. Along the way I have had brilliant coaches who have influenced my life on the field and, more importantly, off the field. I have experienced success both as a player and a coach but find greater satisfaction knowing that I have assisted in their growth as players and individuals.
I believe the single, most important component of coaching is the player. It is essential to build a professional relationship based on communication, trust, and respect. Once the working relationship has been forged, it is valuable to integrate the desired outcomes from both the player and the coach. The process to achieve these goals is a rewarding challenge that I look forward to, take pride in, and cherish. I believe in individual responsibility and accountability which affect the ability to execute one’s role in the overall team concept and include attending team-related activities on-time and being prepared and willing to work hard. I further believe in positive attitude, knowing that one can accomplish goals and dreams. Above all, I believe in having fun and enjoying the moment. |
