Steven-Henager College is offering one Presidential Scholarship to a senior with a combination of the highest ACT score and SHC scholarship assessment. Applications are due April 1. For more information come to the career center and talk to Ms. Rippy.

Congratulations to Lane Sawyer, Ben Jacobsen, and Curtis Baker.  They participated at the Idaho State University Economics Challenge where they placed FIRST in the Adam Smith division, each won $50 US Savings Bonds and hundreds of dollars in gift cards!  This state championship qualifies them to compete in the western regional competition later in the spring.  Go Warriors!

Congratulations to the Sophomore and Freshman Cheerleading Squads for both placing first at the UCA cheer competition this past weekend. Go Warriors!

To all students who will be going to Rocky Mountain High School next year, you are cordially invited to "Meet the Teachers" night on Monday, March 17th at Saw tooth Middle School at 7:00 pm .  You will be able to meet some of your administrators, teachers, coaches and advisors. This is a great opportunity so don't miss out.

Class ring packets will be distributed during sophomore biology today.  Design your ring online at www.jostens.com .  Place orders with the Jostens reps next Thursday or Friday March 20th or 21st in the hall by the library before school, break, or lunch and receive group order day discounts and promotions.  Email idahoringman@yahoo.com with questions.

Seniors, April 16th the Jostens reps will be downstairs passing out your graduation items including your cap and gown throughout the day.  Watch for postcards in the mail with balance due information or send an email to idahoringman@yahoo.com with questions.

Students of MHS, please come and support the Varsity Cheer Squad at the State Cheer Competition Saturday, March 22 at the Idaho Center . Doors open at 7:15 am with our cheer squad performing around 10:00 am . Come early and check it out.

Attention all Freshmen and Sophomores, Upward Bound is a new program at MHS that helps students prepare for college . Students in the program receive help with ACT/ SAT preparation, scholarship applications and college admission. You will have an opportunity to visit colleges across the nation with field trips and service learning projects. This program is free, if you are interested please pick up an application in the career center or contact Mrs. Tarbet in room PTC-5. The deadline is approaching quickly and openings are filling up. 

Your Dance Team, once again, successfully returned from another competition this past weekend.  They competed in the toughest competition in the Northwest.  We would like to congratulate them for the following awards:  3rd place in Military 5A, 3rd place in Prop 5A, and 2nd place in Kick 5A.  We would also like to congratulate Meagan West and BriAnne Stokes in making the top 10 in the 4A/5A Drill Down Competition.  Congratulations Warriorettes .

MHS guys who signed up and paid for Power Puff Volleyball, practice will begin April 14. You will be contacted after spring break by your coach. Now for the guys who didn't sign up and want to pay to play, there is still space available. See Mrs. Ward in room A-5 or any varsity volleyball player. 

Congratulations to the boys lacrosse team who won 3 out of 4 games at the Table Rock Shootout tournament last weekend held at Ann Morrison Park .  They beat Wood Cross High School from Utah as well as Canyon County and Borah.  Come out and support the team as they begin their season on Tuesday, March 18 against Mountain View.  The game begins at 6:00 at Chateau Park .  Check www.highschoolsports.net for the season schedule .

Congratulations to Meridian 's BPA Chapter on an outstanding job at State this past weekend.  Taylor Galusha and Ashley McCarthey both qualified for national BPA competition in May at Reno Nevada .  Go Warriors! 

Congratulation to the Japanese State speech contest winners. Travis Worley 1 place, level 1, Brogan Andrews 1 place, level 2, James Crowell 2 place, and Jaycee Sandvig 3 place. Go Warriors!

Seniors, do you need help financially with cap and gowns for graduation? Are there other problems getting your cap and gown? If so, please come see Mr. Bloxham in AG-4 ASAP.

This last weekend our Warriorette Dance team traveled to Payette to compete in the Drill O Rama Competition.  We would like to congratulate them on the following awards.  2nd place in prop division, 3rd place in Military division, 3rd place Dance division, 1st place in kick division and 1st place in the lyrical division.  Also we would like to congratulate Alyssa Jones and BriAnne Stokes on taking the 2nd and 3rd places in the 5A drill down competition.  This weekend go out and support them as the dance teams heads to Capital High School to compete in the Pacific Northwest Competition.  Go Warriors!

Students turning in creative writing and art work for the “Condor Collection”. You need to fill out a form to give permission to print your work. You can get this form from any art teacher and Mr. Frode. Deadline for turning in your art and writings are due today.
