Senior Cheerleaders or Dancers who are interested in trying out for the University of Idaho Dance and Cheer teams need to see Coach McAllister, Coach Amy Brown or Mr. Bergquist for application forms and information. You can also pick up information in the main office.

Any girl interested in playing basketball next season needs to stop by Coach Curry's room 232 at lunch to pick up summer and off-season information.

Attention Senior student athletes! The Jim Reed Memorial Scholarship applications are available in the Career Center , Main Office, and Athletic Office. This is a great opportunity for one male and one female senior student athlete to earn a $250 scholarship to a college of choice . Deadline for sending in applications is May 9th.

A meeting for all students and parents will be held on Wednesday, April 30th at 7:00 at Sawtooth Middle School for students who will be playing football at Rocky Mountain High School next year.  Introduction of coaches, summer program, spirit pack gear and booster club information will be discussed.  Please make your parents aware of this meeting and plan to attend.

A representative from Boise State University will be visiting MHS on May 1 at 11:30 am . If you would like to called down to the career center and talk with representative, please sign up in the career center today.

Seniors, one last scholarship, the Meridian Masonic Lodge will be giving three $500 scholarships based on grades, ACT or SAT score, extra curricular and community service and an essay about your career goals. Come to the career center for more information and an application. All materials must be submitted by May 15.

Come join the Meridian High Drama department to watch the thrilling drama Elizabeth the Queen. Watch as Elizabeth fights for her throne. This play is filled with romance, tragedy and a beheading. For a mere $5 or $4 with activity card you can watch this awesome play April 23 through the 25. House doors open at 6:30 and the show starts at 7.

It will be held at Pizza Hut on Cherry Lane and Linder. So help us raise some dough for Nationals by presenting a voucher slip that you can get from any FCCLA member.

Dance Tryout Clinics for the 2008-2009 year will take place in the main gym today through April 25 at 4pm .  Clinics will be held from 4 to 6, with actual tryouts on Friday starting at 4pm . Questions please see Amy Brown in Room 106. 

Auditions for the 2008-09 MHS Choirs will take place in the choir room today through Wednesday, April 23, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm .

Students and Staff this Friday a fundraiser "Hats on for Lenae“ will take place to help raise money for Lenae Dammerall.   Lenae was in a auto wreck a few months ago and has been in the hospital since this time.  Our purpose is to raise money to help deter some of the medical expenses they have occurred.  On Friday you may pay $1.00 for the privilege of wearing your hat for the day.  You will be able to purchase a coupon to attach to your hat that shows you have participated.  Any students that do not have the coupon will not be allowed to wear their hats.  Please participate and pay $1.00 to wear your hat and show support for a Meridian High School Student in need. Teachers, in your box you will find coupons that you can pass out to your first period class or any other student who will pay a dollar to wear their hat on Friday. Please collect money and give it to Brenda in the main office. Please include your name with the funds and total amount collected.

Dance Tryout Clinics for the 2008-2009 year will take place in the main gym April 21st through April 25 at 4pm.  Following the clinics on April 21 there will be a parent and student meeting to answer any and all questions you may have.  Clinics will be held from 4 to 6, Monday through Thursday with actual tryouts on Friday starting at 4pm . The 2008 Power Puff volleyball tournament will be held tonight in the main gym at 6 pm . Cost is $2.00 per person to come watch your fellow classmates and teachers show off their skills.
